    Parcel Tax Oversight Committee

In May 2014, the citizens of Dublin approved Measure B, a local parcel tax for a period of five (5) years, beginning July 1, 2014 at the rate of $96 per parcel.  Measure B passed without increasing the existing tax rate and to maintain high quality education for all grades by sustaining academic achievement in math, science, reading, writing, and utilizing technology; supporting engineering/medicine/biotechnology academies; attracting/retaining highly qualified teachers; and maintaining school libraries, and current instructional materials/technology.  Measure B requires the District to form an independent Citizens Oversight Committee whose responsibility will be to monitor the spending of Measure B funds and report their findings to the community.  In addition, annual independent audits are mandatory.  The oversight committee will be the "Parcel Tax Oversight Committee" (also known as PTOC).  The PTOC has been established by Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Dublin Unified School District.

Measure B Parcel Tax Exemption Information:
At any time, residents over the age of 65 on July 1, 2014 or for each year and low income residents with disabilities may qualify for an exemption from this tax.

The exemption form can be downloaded by clicking on the PDF application below.  You may also pick up an exemption form at the Dublin Unified School District Office at 7471 Larkdale Ave. at any time between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  District staff would be happy to help you complete the application.

The application form requires you to list your parcel number.  This is typically an eight digit number beginning with "941".  If you are not sure you are using the correct number, bring our tax bill or tax assessment to the district office and we will assist you in locating the correct number.  Your parcel number can also be located on the Alameda County property tax webpage.
