Fallon Mustang Band 2012-2013 The “Mustang Band” has established a consistent pattern of success in all areas of performance and competition, combined with pride, class and dignity. Our goal is an easy one, “WE STRIVE TO DO OUR BEST!” This goes for rehearsals, class time and performances. If you do the best job you are capable of doing, you will have an enjoyable and successful experience with the Fallon Band. 2012-2013 PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:
5/11/13 The Fallon Band did a great job at the Vallejo City Band Festival!!! In parade competition, Fallon place 3rd in the toughest of the three Middle School Divisions and 6th overall of the 14 middle schools. In Concert competition, Fallon again placed 3rd in the toughest concert division and 7th overall. 5/17/13 "Jazzin' for the Cure", 6:30pm, Shannon Community Center, Jazz Band performing 5/23/13 Incoming Freshman Percussion class @ DHS, 7-9 pm in DHS Band Room. Bring sticks/mallets 5/29/13 Spring Concert, 7pm, Fallon Gym 5/30/13 Fallon open House. Jazz Band playing. Incoming Freshman Percussion class @ DHS, 7-9 pm in DHS Band Room. Bring sticks/mallets (*) NOTE: participation in competitions, parades, concerts, and after school rehearsals are part of grade 5/4/13 Congratulations to the Fallon Mustang Band & Color Guard! Today, at the Encinal HS Band Review in Alameda, the band placed 2nd in concert & parade, the guard came in 2nd and our drum major came in 4th. Mr C and Ms. Stein are very proud of your accomplishment! We would like to thank the wonderful parents who came out to help, especially as this was the 1st time the band got to wear their new shakos (hats) with plumes! 4/6/13 CCGC Championships: GUARD: 2nd place with 65.64 (1st was Pleasanton Unified, 66.2), only 0.56 difference! You started the season with a 29.63. Scores came up 36.01, and 15 of the 16 members were newbies, had never picked up a piece of equipment! PERCUSSION: 2nd place with 74.0 (1st place Team USA, a high school group with 78.45), only 4.45 difference. You increased steadily every week with a growth of 13.20 points for the season, up 7.95 points since the Dublin show! Mr. C and Ms. Stein are SO proud of your growth and accomplishments! 3/23/13 Winter Percussion @ Dublin High, 3rd place, 66.05. Color Guard @ Granada High, 3rd place, 62.67 3/16/13 Fantastic performance today at the St. Patrick's Day Parade! Students, Mr. C & Ms. Stein heard so many great compliments on your behalf. Thank you to the parents who helped us!!! 3/9/13 So proud of Fallon's drum line & guard! At today's CCGC competition @ Independence HS in San Jose, the drum line came in 2nd with a score of 63.0 which is up 3.65 from 2 weeks ago. The Guard came in 2nd, with a score of 61.51, up 19.75 points from the previous competition 2 weeks ago! Way to go Fallon!!! 2/23/13 Thank you to all of the adult and student volunteers who worked the Fallon Winter Percussion & Guard Show. We received so many compliments. It would not have been so successful without you!!! A shout out to our "assistant", former drum major, Esther! 1/26/13 Congratulations Fallon Winter Percussion...1st place with a 60.80. Check out Wells Middle School and Dublin High.
